Why? Well, wherever I am, he is right next to me, now that he’s older. He likes to be with me now.

(Apparently, that’s also because old dogs can’t see or hear very well, so they like to be comforted by the presence of the one who loves them).

And that’s pretty great.

And if you clean up a dog’s crap (and do other stuff to help him) for about 15 years, then you can be loved, too!

(Oh! Or remember that God already loves you – that’s another way to be loved!)
