Sometimes essential life lessons come in strange gift packages, no?
The first week on bed rest1 wasn’t too bad.
I was initially hopeful that my body would figure itself out, my back would crack in the right direction, and I would be up and running in no time. I opened an office on my bed, barking orders at my homeschooled kid, and attending meetings online. I forgot to tell one male teacher why I was in bed during the online homeschooling call, which was embarrassing in retrospect.
But I’ve done more embarrassing things2 in good health.

Yes. There are so many good things in life that are free AND unwanted! Actually migraines were like that for me as I changed my diet in a helpful way and the migraines are much reduced when apply what I’ve learned – the hardest part! 🙂 I look forward to reading your thoughts on migraines! Migraines were a mild inconvenience in my younger life, but then, as I got stressed whilst studying a PhD during Covid, they started to join together until I was sick all the time… it has taken me a long time to reduce the suffering. So happy to hear that nutrition adjustments made a difference for you – a lot of people benefit from that which is fabulous! (mine were more hormonal + stress and food didn’t really play a role – unfortunately!) Sending lots of happy vibes your way! Linda xox
